Dozer To Gnss Verification — Carry Versus Drag
Identify the complete machine sequence, tractor interfaces and reference technology. A machine mentioned in a scenario is not a confirmed compatible attachment or a verified available configuration.
This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.
Carry vs Drag
Dragging redistributes material along the path of the implement; carrying separates the collection point from the placement point. Dragging can suit local smoothing. Contained carrying becomes useful when a measured surplus must reach a specific deficit without continually spilling across the intervening ground.
Before moving material
Map where material starts and where it needs to finish.
Receiving operation and checks
Blend the placed material into the receiving surface and check the final fall. Compare completed, verified surface per hour rather than just travel speed.
A scraper is not always preferable: short local maintenance can favour a land plane or blade.

GNSS machine control combines positioning, machine geometry and design information. An accurate receiver position is not automatically an accurate cutting-edge position.
Before moving material
Confirm corrections, sensor arrangement and the coordinate reference.
Receiving operation and checks
Check the completed surface with an independent method. Inspect offsets, design revision and correction status when results disagree.
Compatibility must be confirmed for the actual machine and control installation.

A GNSS-controlled scraper needs a valid surface model and calibrated implement geometry. Grade information must remain usable while the scraper loads, carries and discharges.
Before moving material
Agree the positioning corrections and control installation.
Receiving operation and checks
Verify the surface after placement and final trimming. Record interruptions and inspect work completed while positioning was unreliable.
No universal automated-control compatibility is asserted for Dugong.

Use this checklist to turn the scenario into a specific brief. Retain the design revision and agree who accepts each completed layer.
Checklist ticks apply only while this page is open. Include the completed brief in your project records.
